Mount Rinjani was declared as an UNESCO Global Geopark in 2018 which underlines the responsibility of everyone entering the national park, trekking companies as well as foreign and local tourists. We appreciate and preserve the unique nature of Mount Rinjani.
As an eco-trekking tour operator, we too have an own mission to raise awareness of environmental issues in this area. Even in the distant future everyone should be able to enjoy the nature of Mt. Rinjani which is the livelihood for a lot of local people. So it is a personal and essential matter for us to act sustainably and keep nature clean by taking care of our waste during and after the treks. So everything we take in, we also take out again.
Help us as well to leave as few traces as possible during the trek by keeping to the official trails. Don’t damage sensitive plants and animals by wandering off the beaten track. We also recommend you to be as quiet as possible while hiking through the rainforest. Otherwise you might miss the chance to see one of the rare and shy animal species living there. Last but not least we provide toilet tents so that you don’t have to do your business in wild nature.
