Is it possible to rent walking sticks, gloves, long pants, jackets, or shoes at the Rinjani Mission office?
Yes, it is possible.
Do you know where I can obtain a health certificate? If I already have one from my country, is it acceptable?
Perfect! If you already have one from your country (for example, France), that is fine. However, you must still undergo a medical check-up near the Rinjani starting point on the day your trek begins.
How long is a health certificate valid before climbing Mount Rinjani?
A health certificate is valid for a maximum of 1 day before the trek (H-1).
Are prospective climbers required to fill out a declaration form and provide details of any insurance they have?
Yes, it is mandatory to complete the form and include insurance details.
Do climbers aged 17 and under need parental permission?
Yes, climbers under 18 must bring parental consent.
Are climbers required to attend a safety briefing before starting the climb?
Yes, it is mandatory. All climbers will receive guidance at our Rinjani Mission office in the evening before the trek.
How many climbers are there in one group?
Groups must consist of at least 5 climbers. Any larger groups will follow Rinjani SOP procedures.
Ratio: 1 Rinjani Mission guide for every 5 climbers.
Ratio: 1 Rinjani Mission porter for every 2 foreign climbers or 3 local climbers.
Is it prohibited to bring active speakers or musical instruments while climbing?
Yes, it is strictly prohibited. This rule helps preserve nature and ensures the comfort of all climbers on the mountain
How to get to Mt. Rinjani
Wherever you come from and using plane or ship, first you have to arrive at Zainuddin Abdul Madjid International Airport (BIZAM) Lombok or arrive at one of the famous ferry port called Lembar, you can also come by fast boat from Bali to Lombok and arrive at the port of Bangsal or nipah. After you arrive at one of those arrival place our representative driver will immediately take you to our Rinjanimission office in Senaru which is at the foot of Mount Rinjani, where we have prepared accommodation for you to stay overnight in preparation for tomorrow morning's start to climb Rinjani.
Is this tour committed to zero-waste trekking and sustainable eco-friendly practices?
Yes. Our treks are sustainable and environmentally friendly. We also practice a zero-waste commitment by collecting trash on Mount Rinjani and bringing it back down to the Rinjani Mission office for proper disposal.

Where is your pick up zone ?
Before trekking:
Pick up from Lombok international airport or Mataram/Senggigi/Bangsal harbor / kuta mandalika / Labuhan Lombok harbour ( drop you off to rinjanimission office and accomodation in senaru village )
After trekking:
Transfer to Lombok international airport / Lembar harbor / Kuta mandalika / Labuhan Lombok harbour /Senggigi/Bangsal harbor/nipah harbour
We would like to visit the waterfall near senaru on the day of arrival
Yes, visit 2 waterfall Sindang gile and tiu kelep can be do it on arrival and upon at the latest 2 hours before sunset down coz those waterfall is near by accomodation the place where you will have stay in senaru village
We are vegetarians can we provide other food
Yes, we also will consider any food wishes you have on your trip just tell us in advance for example vegetarian, vegan, allergies.
Can we book the tour at the same day as the tour start?
Yes, but it is very risky, most likely you will not get an entrance ticket because of the limitation of the visitor quota per day, delays in preparation will be vulnerable to forgetting something that must be brought up and of course you will be in hurry
Is it possible to book the tour just 3-5 days in advance or is there a risk of not getting a tickets anymore?
Since the season the entrance tickets to the national park are limited per day. so actually it would be better if you book some time in advance. but 3-5 days before the hike should work as well! but we advice you to book as soon as you know an exact date.
I'm planning for rinjani trekking. So please let me know which plan you recommend 2days 1 night or 3days 2nights
If you are in good fitness, we recommend to take 3days 2night package via sembalun and ending in senaru. This package is a popular package which is taken by almost all trekking participants
How many days of trekking is the good choice?
3D/2N is perfect for trekker who are accustomed to climb mountain and in good fitness level where this package is a popular program and is mostly done by trekkers due the journey is complate including being able to visit the summit and the lake too.
Me and my wife have not experienced so much mountain climbing. Please your advice and recommend plan
We recommend for beginners or those who are not used to climbing mountains to take the 4days 3night family package via sembalun ending in senaru (see it all) this package is more relax and of course not in rush.
When is the best time to go trekking?
Since three months raining season stopped. we recommend you to start trekking on 1st of April to the late june concidered very good time to trek where the weather regularly very friendly which is not to hot and dusty while the green landscape still be found in this period the lower amount trekker participant found during those months. how ever if you choose to trek in the trekking seasons among July till September it means there are lot of trekker participant can be found, the weather would be hottes and dusty due the areas has entered dry seasons. Three months before raining seasons coming or Rinjani closed, Namely october till end of december it could be sometimes windy and rainy.
Do you run trekking tours in the late December or early January till march?
Yes, of course we still run the tour untill the end of December. From January to March the national park Rinjani closed due raining season and extrem weather.
We don't have much time in Lombok which trekking package are recommended?
If you are beginner we highly recomend to do 2D/1N Senaru Crater rim. How ever if it expert trekker, 2D/1N Rinjani Summit via Sembalun are the good choose for you.

After we booked the tour when will we start to climbing
You will start climb next day early morning at 7 O'clock am it means you will be Accomodate in guest house arround Senaru village at the day before start
Regarding luggage do we have to carry all of our belongings on the trek or are there lockers which we can store
You don't have to bring all your stuff up the mountain, you only bring what you need and pack it in a small daily bag.and yes of course there is safety locker we provide in RinjaniMission office to store our client stuff such Suitcase,backpack,any important things, etc.
Do you offer alternative Lombok tours or treks during the rainy season when Mount Rinjani is closed (January–March)?
Yes. We continue to operate alternative hiking and Lombok tours during this period. Some options include climbing Mount Pengsong, Pergasingan Hill, Anak Dara Hill, Selong Hill, Propok Hill, and Gedong Hill, among others.
Is it allowed to bring a drone when hiking Mount Rinjani?
Yes, it is allowed, but you must pay a drone fee of IDR 2,000,000 per trip to TNGR (Taman Nasional Gunung Rinjani).
