Trekking Tour Itinerary : Begin From Sembalun Village & Ending to Sembalun ~Village
Day 0 – Arrival in Lombok & Hotel Check-In at Senaru
Your journey begins with your arrival on the beautiful island of Lombok. Our team will greet you at the airport, harbor, or any major tourist area and provide private transport to your accommodation in Senaru Village, the gateway to Mount Rinjani. After check-in at your hotel, you’ll have time to relax, explore the surrounding area, or simply rest and prepare for the exciting adventure ahead.
In the evening, you’ll meet your trekking guide at ( CAFE OPIK ) for a brief pre-trek orientation, covering the essentials of the 2-day, 1-night itinerary, gear preparation, and general safety guidelines. This relaxed evening is designed to ensure you feel ready and confident before the real journey begins the next morning.
Pro Tip: Arriving one day before the trek gives you a chance to recover from travel fatigue and double-check your equipment. Starting the trek on the same day you arrive is not recommended.
Overview:
Embark on a thrilling 2-day, 1-night adventure to the summit of Mount Rinjani, starting from Sembalun Village (1,156m), ascending to the Sembalun Crater Rim II (2,639m), and ultimately reaching the summit at 3,726m. After experiencing breathtaking views at the summit, you will descend back to Sembalun Village to complete the trek.
This trekking tour is perfect for those with limited time in Lombok but who want to stand on the island’s highest peak and witness the sunrise over Mount Rinjani. The tour is suitable for average and experienced hikers, as well as beginners and children with a good level of fitness.
Day 1 – Senaru to Sembalun Crater Rim II (2,639m)

Difficulty : Moderate
· 06:00 AM: Wake up and enjoy breakfast at your hotel
· 07:00 AM: Check out and drive to Sembalun Village (1,156m)
· 08:00 AM: Register at the Rinjani National Park Office in Sembalun
· 09:00 AM: Begin trekking through savannah and forest trails
· 12:00 PM: Lunch break at Post 2 (Tangengean, 1,500m)
· 02:00 PM: Continue climbing past Post 3 and Post 4
· 05:00 PM: Arrive at Sembalun Crater Rim II and camp for the night
Day 2: Summit and Descent
· 02:00 AM: Wake up and enjoy a light breakfast prepared by your porters.
· 02:15 AM: Begin the ascent to the summit (3,726m), which takes approximately 3 hours.
· 05:30 AM: Reach the summit in time to witness the breathtaking sunrise over Mount Rinjani, Segara Anak Lake, and the surrounding islands.
· 07:00 AM: Begin your descent back to the Crater Rim for breakfast and a short rest.
· 09:30 AM: Continue descending to Post 2 (Tangengean, 1,500m) for a relaxing lunch break.
· 01:30 PM: Continue the descent to Sembalun Village.
· 03:00 PM: Arrive back at the starting point. Our driver will transfer you to your accommodation or next destination on Lombok.
Post-trek, we’ll transport you back to Cafe Opik for a well-earned shower, cold drinks, and your onward transfer
